Nan's Blueberry Coffee Cake
This recipe is from Dan's grandmother. She often made it for us when we visited. Great for breakfast or as a dessert served warm with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients
- Coffee Cake:
- ¾ c sugar
- ¼ c shortening
- 1 egg
- ½ c milk
- 2 c flour
- ½ t salt
- 2 t baking powder
- 2 c blueberries
- --
- Topping:
- ½ c sugar
- ⅓ c flour
- ½ t cinnamon
- ¼ c soft butter
Instructions
- Cream shortening, sugar, and egg with mixer.
- Stir in milk.
- Add flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Hand stir in blueberries.
- Spread in 13x9x2 pan.
- Make crumbs by cutting butter into dry ingredients and sprinkle on top.
- Bake at 350 deg. for 25-30 minutes.
